Noida, Uttar Pradesh: 2020 definitely did not let us see the last of Covid19 pandemic. While things were coming back to normal in the first months of 2021, April saw a rise in the number of Covid cases and GCube did not lose any time to step up to support its associates.

The company immediately set up emergency oxygen supply which started off with 4 oxygen concentrators and 2 cylinders which were regularly being used by the associates. 4 more high-capacity concentrator were later added to the fleet. A doctor was arranged for tele-consultation at specific hours for the associates specifically.

The HR & Admin department worked rapidly to provide mental health counselling for the associates to help them navigate through the challenging situation. A virtual session with Clinical Psychologist, Payel Chakraborty on the mental health wellness was attended by more than 117 GCubians. A Covid awareness session was also arranged, conducted by Dr Rudra Prasad Acharya, Cancer Surgeon at Batra and PSRI. The session helped 125 associates gain knowledge on how to tackle the pandemic.

Lalit Kumar, Manager was all praise for the efforts and shared, ’Just want to appreciate HR and admin team on handling the pandemic situation really well. Either it has been case of arranging oxygen cylinder to arranging queries on COVID, and mental wellness. When almost everyone was struggling to find oxygen cylinder the Admin team or Management was really prompt to have arranged the cylinder well in advance. And there is no doubt it has proved very helpful to a few associates, where it was very critical. A very well thought and well-planned initiative has really been helpful for few associates if not all, and comparing to chaos all around health sector, it is commendable. So last but not the least, a big thank you and appreciate all the hard work put in by HR and Admin team.’

GCube has also introduced the ‘I support policy’ to help associates support each other in times of need. The policy enables associates to donate leaves to each other thereby creating a strong bond amongst the GCubians and more team cohesiveness and team connect. Furthermore, organization level fundraisers were arranged to help associates in need of financial support.

To help parents manage their children while they are away from schools and parents are busy in work from home, the HR team arranged for a session on parenting which was a great success with GCubians and Jyoti Sabharwal, AVP – Presales thanked the team by saying ‘The recent Covid phase has made us realize how emotional support and empathy place an important role in our life, much more than any process and procedure. I would like to thank our HR team on behalf of GCubians for always keeping our health and support on top priority. You do great work and deserve a huge thank you from the entire office. Thanks, and keep doing the good work.’

On 8th June, GCube organized a free vaccination drive for all the associates, including their spouses and children above 18 years of age at the Jaypee Hospital, Noida. 52 people were vaccinated in the dedicated 2 hours slot for GCubians. Sharing a photo from the vaccination drive on his Linkedin profile, Manish Gupta, CEO, GCube wrote ‘…we are working towards going to new-new normal - where we do our regular work from wherever we want - office or home or a cafe, but we come to office to ideate, celebrate, gossip or even argue with each other without having to worry about covid! With that as objective, vaccination camp was organized today for GCubians and their families, so that all of us can get fully vaccinated over next 2-3 months and get over with this dreadful Covid-19! #defeatcovid’.
